Its physical environment tells stories unique to the community that built it and to the people who are buried within. The beauty of the cemetery comes in part from its physical monuments and in part from the memories of the departed that those structures evoke in the living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are the results of a 2021 survey of surviving markers in Geer Cemetery conducted by students at Duke University.
