Geer Cemetery Descendants Council Meet-Up

Friends of Geer Cemetery is continually seeking descendants of people buried in Geer Cemetery. Geer Cemetery is a historic African American burial ground in Durham, NC that was used by the community beginning in the late 1800s. If you are a descendant of someone buried in Geer Cemetery, we would love for you to connect with us.
The Friends of Geer Cemetery strives to preserve both the physical sacred space and life stories. The Descendants Council provides for descendants to hear and provide input about the preservation efforts and the opportunity to share their ancestor’s life stories.
