The act of maintaining, preserving, and protecting the cemetery makes the space visible and available to the community. Programs, educational sessions, and other events reveal how the cemetery was founded, used, and eventually neglected. Telling stories and educating others about the space is as much a part of keeping the cemetery alive as sharing the hard work of reclaiming the physical grounds.
